Spring has officially arrived even if we still have snow covering the ground! We have some great local kansas city creative events coming up in April.

Herve Tullet will be at the Nelson Atkins on April 7th for an afternoon of  storytelling and hands on painting. Herve is an acclaimed artist and children’s book author and illustrator that has a line of highly interactive books to spark the imagination.  We have a few of the books above and they are so creative, I can’t wait to see what he has in store for all of the kids.  View details of the event here. He also has some great interactive activities on his site. This one is a favorite.

The Kemper Museum also has a couple of free creative events for kids coming up in April. One is creating sculptures based on Frank Stella’s work and the other event, creating watercolors based on the work of Dale Chihuly. Take a look at all the details here at Kemper for Kids Spring schedule of events. Also check out their dates for Scavenger Saturdays too.

happy creating!
