NEST … mood board and concept images for an Inn + Cafe in Maine

Creative time lately has been happily consumed with working on interior concepts and furnishings for an Inn + Cafe in a historic renovation of a textile/furniture mill in Maine. Take a look here at the mill project that two talented developers (one of them happens to be my husband) have been working on for the past 5 years. It’s exciting to think that it will be opening soon and will include a cozy Inn to stay at and a Cafe serving a selection of local, seasonal fare. The following is a mood board for the Inn + a few concept images. The mill, which is situated on Main street along the Piscataquis River, has functioned in the past as both textile and furniture manufacturing companies. The plan for the interior is to incorporate original found objects from the mill’s past life, nods to the surrounding culture, and infuse the spaces with a comfortable, modern feel. More concepts for the Inn + the Cafe coming up soon!
