Protein Bites | Cranberry + Walnut and Almond Butter + Dark Chocolate

These are lifesavers for busy mornings and afternoons! So much protein and goodness packed in these little bites. If you’ve followed along you know how much we love all varieties of protein bites (like these Crispy Wild Blueberry Bites and these Orange Spiced Energy Bites.

Here are a couple of new versions to boost your energy and so easy to modify to you and your family’s tastebuds!

Granola / Dark Chocolate Energy Bites (makes approx. 12, 1-1/2″ bites)
1/2 c. organic unsalted almond butter (or peanut butter)
1 c. GF granola of your choice  (or homemade)
1/4 c. chopped walnuts (or nut of choice)
2 T. mini dark choc. chips (dairy free)
1/4 t. pure vanilla extract
1 T. maple syrup
1/4 t. cinnamon
small sprinkle of sea salt 

Cranberry Walnut Energy Bites (makes approx. 12, 1-1/2″ bites)
1/2 c. organic unsalted almond butter (or peanut butter)
1/2 c. chopped walnuts  (or nut of choice)
1/4 c. sunflower seeds
2 T. flax seed meal
1/2 c. chopped cranberries
1/4 t. pure vanilla extract
2 T. raw honey
1/4 t. cinnamon
small sprinkle of sea salt 

Directions for both recipes
For both of the recipes above mix all ingredients together. You may have to refrigerate for 15 min. before forming into balls. 

Enjoy, and feel free to experiment with various nuts and dried fruits.
